Food Bestie – MoMo E- Wallet

A mini app designed to encourage 23M MoMo users to spend more at MoMo’s merchant partners.


Goal

MoMo’s goal in 2021 was to achieve 1.2M offline MAU, in the context that the Covid pandemic had changed user behavior to more online. In order to do that, MoMo needed to create an O2O (Online to offline) ecosystem to encourage 23M current users to pay more at MoMo’s merchant partners.

We did a Quantitative research to understand the F&B users group, collected 2000 answers and saw that:

I started to design the user main flow for the feature and called this feature “Food Bestie” because it was like a smart and supportive friend who knows everything.

Reflections

The tight deadline was a significant challenge. We had to work efficiently and make quick decisions without sacrificing quality.

Collaboration was key to this project’s success. I worked closely with various cross-functional teams, including marketing, product management, and engineering.I also facilitated communication between stakeholders and the design team to ensure everyone was aligned and on the same page.

The whole experience taught me valuable lessons in collaboration, decision-making, and working under pressure but it was really fun as well.
